HKY IQ is a startup that offers custom hockey and lacrosse sticks for players of all levels and ages. We are looking for a Division Manager to fuel our exceptional company growth and help us achieve our vision of improving the experience for sports families everywhere. As a Division Manager at HKY IQ, you will build out an entire new sports division. You will learn from industry experts, and collaborate with a passionate and diverse team. As a Division Manager at HKY IQ, you will:

• Build a community of sports parents who are passionate about their kids’ development. You will learn, explore, and deploy content that will bring in parents, such as tips, blog articles, and streaming of games. You will also grow the community numbers and engagement over time, by responding to comments, questions, and feedback, and by encouraging referrals, reviews, and testimonials.
• Attract a community of young athletes who are eager to improve their skills and performance in your assigned sport. You will plan events, such as clinics, tournaments, and contests, that will showcase our custom sporting goods and create excitement and buzz.
• You will also collaborate with marketing and our street team of ambassadors and influencers who will promote our brand and products to their peers and networks.
• You will collaborate with our product and design team to build out engaging content for young athletes, such as videos, podcasts, and quizzes.
• Attract a community of designers who are creative and talented. You will build out a model that incentivizes designers to design sticks and apparel for our customers and for our brand.

To be a successful Division Manager at HKY IQ, you should have:

Do you want to create and design entire lines of apparel that are stylish,
functional, and comfortable for hockey players and fans? If you answered yes to
these questions, then you might be the perfect candidate for HKY IQ’s athletic
apparel designer role.

HKY IQ is a startup that offers custom hockey sticks and
apparel for players of all levels and ages. We are looking for an athletic apparel designer who can build out our apparel product line, from concept to
production. As an athletic apparel designer at HKY IQ, you will:

Research and analyze the latest trends, customer needs, and market opportunities in the hockey apparel industry

Create and design original and innovative apparel collections, such as jerseys, jackets, pants, shirts, hats, and accessories, for both men and women, and for both on-ice and off-ice occasions

Collaborate with our product and engineering team to select the best materials, technologies, and features for our apparel products, such as fabrics, colors, prints, logos, and fit

Collaborate with our marketing and sales team to develop and execute effective branding, merchandising, and promotional strategies for our apparel products, such as packaging, pricing, and distribution

Collaborate with our operations and manufacturing team to ensure the quality, consistency, and efficiency of our apparel production, such as sourcing, sampling, testing, and delivery

To be a successful athletic apparel designer at HKY IQ, you
should have:

A passion for hockey and sports in general, and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of sports families everywhere

A strong background and experience in fashion design, apparel design, or a related field, preferably in the sports or e-commerce industry

A creative and artistic mindset, and a ability to sketch, draw, and/or use design software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign

A technical and analytical mindset, and a ability to work with fabrics, patterns, measurements, and specifications

A collaborative and communicative mindset, and a ability to work well with others in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

HKY IQ is a startup that offers custom hockey sticks for players of all levels and ages. We are looking for an intern software engineer who can help us manage our infrastructure and build out meaningful software capabilities that improve the experience for sports families everywhere. Working as an intern at HKY IQ, you will report directly to our Chief Technology Officer, a retired Google-alum that wrote code on some of their biggest products.

As an intern software engineer at HKY IQ, you will:

• Work with our engineering team to develop, test, and deploy web and mobile applications that enable our customers to create, order, and track their custom hockey sticks
• Work with our product and design team to implement user-friendly and intuitive features and interfaces that enhance our customer satisfaction and retention
• Work with our data and analytics team to collect, analyze, and visualize data that help us understand our customer behavior, preferences, and feedback
• Work with our operations and marketing team to optimize our processes, workflows, and campaigns that increase our efficiency, scalability, and growth

To be a successful intern software engineer at HKY IQ, you should have:

• A passion for hockey and sports in general, and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of sports families everywhere
• A strong foundation in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, and a familiarity with web and mobile development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, React Native, Node.js, MongoDB, Firebase, etc.
• A willingness to learn new skills, tools, and frameworks, and a curiosity to explore new ideas, challenges, and opportunities
• A collaborative and communicative mindset, and a ability to work well with others in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Learn the markets that HKY IQ intends to serve
• Learn various aspects of the business such as market, target consumers, competitors, etc.
• Learn and evaluate our tech stack
• Build and deploy software features to drive business goals

Minimum Qualifications

• Familiarity with agile development practices
• Majoring in software engineering or similar 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or willingness to learn the Shopify platform
• Experience building software capabilities
